{"id":45427,"date":"2026-11-05T09:45:28","date_gmt":"2026-11-05T00:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ejec.ej-hds.co.jp\/?p=45427"},"modified":"2026-11-05T09:45:29","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T00:45:29","slug":"aic2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ejec.ej-hds.co.jp\/en\/all\/topics\/aic2026\/","title":{"rendered":"EJEC\u2019s Shota Ohtani participated as a panelist at the Asian Conference on Environmental Impact Assessment 2026 (AIC2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"\t<div class=\"comInfoBox\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"comText comText01 left mb3\">On October 24\u201325, 2026, the international conference AIC2026 was held in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, bringing together experts, researchers and practitioners in the field of environmental impact assessment (EIA) from across Asia.<\/br>\r\nLively discussions took place at the conference on topics including comparisons of environmental assessment systems and their implementation across different countries, challenges in realizing a decarbonized society and a nature-positive future, and the utilization of the latest digital technologies for environmental surveys and analysis.<\/br>\r\nShota Ohtani of Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. (EJEC) took to the stage during a panel discussion at the conference as a representative member of the Overseas Exchange Group of the Japan Environmental Assessment Society (JEAS).<\/br><\/br>\r\nDuring this session, Mr. Ohtani introduced the history and activities of JEAS. He also presented EJEC\u2019s practical experience in environmental impact assessment and environmental and social considerations in Japan and overseas, as well as its nature-positive initiatives, including support for organizations working to implement the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
