We, Eight-Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. (\u201cEJEC\u201d), participated in the \u201c12th High-Level Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific\u201d held from March 3 to 5, 2025 in Jaipur, India. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Government of India; Ministry of the Environment, Japan; United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific; United Nations Centre for Regional Development; United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

\r\nThe theme of the forum was \u201cRealizing Circular Societies Towards Achieving SDGs and Carbon Neutrality in Asia-Pacific\u201d and featured 29 plenary sessions, 10 thematic sessions, 6 country breakout sessions, and 7 side events. There was in-person participation from 30 Asia-Pacific countries, consisting of nearly 200 international delegates and 800 Indian delegates including government officials, experts and private sector representatives, with many more participating virtually.

\r\nThe forum ended with the adoption of the \u201cJaipur 3R and Circular Economy Declaration (2025\u20132035)\u201d by the member countries. The declaration speaks about different waste streams and its circular economy goals, resource efficiency and sustainable material consumption while covering informal sectors, gender and labor issues.

\r\nDuring the forum, EJEC\u2019s poster on waste management services was displayed at the \u201c3R trade and technology exhibition\u201d where over 40 Indian and Japanese businesses showcased best practices, ideas and solutions that support circularity and 3R principles.

\r\nOn March 3, Mr. Takani Azuma in the Environment and Energy Division, International Department, gave a presentation titled \"Creating valuable cities for the future: EJEC\u2019s waste management consulting services\" during the side event \u201cDecarbonization Technologies in the Waste and Resources Sector for Realizing a Circular Economy\u201d, hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan. Mr. Takani explained the overview and benefits of the semi-aerobic landfill (Fukuoka method), waste analysis & characteristics survey for waste-to-energy plants and the necessity for management and environmental planning when developing projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t
