(\u201cEJEC\u201d), joined the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).<br \/>\r\nAt COP28 on December 2nd, 2023, our staff gave a presentation on some examples of the introduction of semi-aerobic landfill structure \u201cFukuoka method\u201d projects in overseas in which our company involved at a seminar (Organized by Ministry of the Environment, Japan and Fukuoka city) on installation of semi-aerobic landfill structure \u201dFukuoka method\u201d for contribution to reducing methane emissions and improving the living environment in \u201cCOP28 Japan Pavilion\u201d by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nIn the Seminar, starting from the Opening remarks from Mr. Yoshihiro Mizutani \/ Director for International Cooperation for Transition to Decarbonization and Sustainable Infrastructure Global Environment Bureau, Ministry of the Environment, Japan, Dr. Yasushi Matsufuji Professor Emeritus, Fukuoka Univ. and Chairperson of the Board, NPO SWAN-Fukuoka, Mr. Takuya Nakamura Chief Executive, Environmental Bureau, Fukuoka city, Ms. Sachiyo Hoshino Special Adviser to Regional Representative, UN-Habitat Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific-Fukuoka, Akihiro Miyazaki \/ Deputy Director General, Group Director for Environmental Management and Climate Change Global Environment Department, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and also Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Secretariat, Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), County government of Kiambu in Kenya, each speaker\/panelist introduced various initiatives and support schemes related to methane emission reduction, semi-aerobic landfill structures, and the Fukuoka Method, and panel discussion was also held.<br \/>\r\nOur company also introduced an example of the introduction of the semi-aerobic landfill structure\/Fukuoka method from a consultant's perspective, and presented that technology transfer to local consultants and construction companies will lead to voluntary dissemination.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nFrom the various countries and areas all over the world, approximately fully occupied 30 people attended at the venue in Dubai, and more than 100 people attended online, we could find the high expectations and interests on the Fukuoka method, semi-aerobic landfill structure to contribute for reducing methane emissions and improving the environment.\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"comBox\">\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"comInfoBox mt1\">\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"comInfoBox\">\n<p class=\"comText center\">Speakers\/Panelists<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t<ul class=\"listUl\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption left\">Ms. Cynthia Malava, Urban Environment, Waste, Management Division, International Department<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption left\">Mr. Taisuke Odera, Business Promotion Division, International Department<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"comInfoBox\">\n<p class=\"comText left\">Our E\u30fbJ Group recognizes that responding to environmental issues including climate change is one of important management issues.
